The Minnesota College Athletic Conference is home to several member colleges which offer competitive Clay Target / Trap League opportunities for student-athletes on their campuses.

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference expects to sanction Clay Target/Trap League as a league varsity sport in the fall of 2018. The MCAC General Assembly - which meets March 26-27, will be tasked with the final approval of varsity status within the MCAC for the sport. The rapid expansion of Clay Target within the high school ranks of Minnesota and the surrounding states point to an exciting opportunity for growth and competition within the schools of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.
Varsity status in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference for Clay Target/Trap League allows for student-athletes and teams to receive recognition for outstanding performances in competition and in the classroom; the MCAC issues All-Academic conference honors, All-Conference teams and regular season championships.
