The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of April 21-27.
Central Lakes College right-handed pitcher Morgan Kloss has been named this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week. Kloss went 3-0 in her three starts and five total appearances during the week. In 21 innings of work, she gave up only two earned runs and 11 hits, striking out 14 batters and walking six. Kloss also hit .421 with 10 RBI and 10 runs scored.
Lily Roehl, first baseman for Central Lakes College, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Roehl picked up 11 hits in 20 at-bats, hitting .550 for the week. She had two doubles and drove in seven runs while scoring nine. Roehl walked four times and stole a base, helping the Raiders go 5-1 this week.
Nevaeh Rahm, a right-handed pitcher for Ridgewater College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week award. Rahm went 3-1 during the week in her four starts and five appearances. In 27 innings of work, she only gave up five earned runs and struck out 30 batters. Rahm also hit .400 with two home runs and six RBI.
Faith Kazemba, third baseman for Minnesota West Community and Technical College, was named this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week. Hitting .529 for the week with nine hits in 17 at-bats, Kazemba drove in 10 runs and scored five. She had four doubles, a walk, and a stolen base. In the field, Kazemba had two putouts and three assists.
