The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its winter sports athletes of the week awards for the week of November 24-30.
Minnesota North College-Itasca forward Chloe Hansen earned the MCAC North Division Women's Basketball Athlete-of-the-Week award. Hansen was 9 for 16 from the field, shooting 56% from the field and scoring 23 points in the Vikings' win over Riverland Community College. Her double-double occurred in 30 minutes of playing time. Hansen also grabbed 13 rebounds, assisted on four baskets, and stole one ball.
Central Lakes College guard Korde Roseman earned the MCAC North Division Men's Basketball Athlete-of-the-Week award. Roseman scored 38 points, shooting 50% from the field and 40% from the three-point arc. He had four assists, four steals, and secured six rebounds in 63 minutes of action. Roseman led his Raiders in scoring through two games, helping the team go 1-1 on the week.
St. Cloud Technical and Community College guard Brooklyn Fischer earned the MCAC South Division Women's Basketball Athlete-of-the-Week award. In 36 minutes of court time, Fischer put together a double-double, scoring 28 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. She shot 50% from the field and 40% from behind the three-point line. Fischer also had two assists, three steals, and a blocked shot in the win over Central Lakes College.
Riverland Community College forward Tristan Coleman earned the MCAC South Division Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week award for the second straight week. In 26 minutes of playing time, Coleman scored 26 points, shooting 69% from the field and 50% from the three-point arc. He also had two rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block in the Blue Devils' win over Minnesota North College-Itasca.
There were no nominations this week for the MCAC Wrestler of the Week award.
